This Privacy Policy describes how Receipt Ai ("we", "us", or "our"), developed and operated by Atalay Apps, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Device Information: When you use our App, we automatically collect certain device information, including:

• A unique device identifier (anonymous ID generated on your device)
• Device model and operating system version
• App version
• Language and timezone settings
• Platform (iOS or Android)

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including features used, screens viewed, and content generated.

Subscription Information: If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We receive subscription status information (active, expired, etc.) through our payment provider RevenueCat, but we do not have access to your payment details such as credit card numbers.

Photos & Media: If you choose to upload or capture photos within the App, these images are processed on your device using on-device text recognition (OCR). The images themselves are not transmitted to our servers or any third party. Only the text extracted from the images is sent to our servers for further processing.

User-Provided Content & AI Processing: When you use AI-powered features, the App sends text data (such as text extracted from receipt photos, including store names, item names, prices, dates, and amounts) to our servers. Our servers forward this text to OpenAI, a third-party AI service provided by OpenAI, L.L.C., for structured data extraction and analysis.

Important details about AI processing:

• What data is sent: Only extracted text content is sent — not photos, images, or other media files.
• Who receives the data: Text is processed by OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.). See their Privacy Policy and API Data Usage Policy.
• Data retention by AI provider: OpenAI does not use data submitted through their API to train their AI models. Data is processed to deliver results and is not retained beyond what is necessary.
• Your consent: The App requests your explicit consent before sending any data to the AI service for the first time. You can choose not to consent, in which case AI-powered features will not be available.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
• Process your AI requests and deliver results
• Manage your subscription and credit balance
• Send push notifications (only if you opt in)
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our services
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information:

• RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management. Privacy Policy

• OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.) — Third-party AI service used to analyze and structure text data extracted from your content. Data submitted via their API is not used to train their models. Privacy Policy

4. Data Retention

We retain your device information and usage data for as long as you use the App. If you stop using the App, your data may be retained for up to 365 days before being automatically deleted. User-provided content submitted for processing is not stored permanently and is deleted after processing is complete.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to your personal data
• Request deletion of your data (see our Account Deletion page)
• Opt out of push notifications through your device settings
• Uninstall the App at any time to stop data collection

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

8. No Account Required

Our App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. You are identified solely by an anonymous device identifier.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
